Tangzen Digital was GenTube’s development partner. We rebuilt a Bubble prototype into a custom Next.js + Express + Supabase platform, soft-launched 22 Jun 2026, with AI at every layer.
Bubble let GenTube customise a lot, but the platform became very hard to maintain. Logic was spread across pages and through the whole API flow, so integrating new APIs was slow and fragile. We rebuilt it as custom code using Cursor and AI models, which made rebuilding features and integrating new services far easier.
We used v0 for UI scaffolding, then Cursor for wiring. We spawned multiple AI agents to work on different features in parallel: one scoped task and one branch each, and we reviewed their work. We used Claude for architecture, agent prompts and status docs, plus AI-assisted integration debugging.
Timeline: Feb: rebuild kickoff, UI prototyped in v0. Apr: real sign-in, channels, video management, dashboard. 9 Jun: we ran six Cursor agents overnight and produced six mobile-responsive PRs. 17–18 Jun: subscriptions, content gating, credits, AI video generation. 22 Jun: soft launch, after a pre-launch QA sweep found 6 launch blockers, all fixed the same night. Jul: security hardening. Sep: video library migrated to a new video cloud (198 of 200 verified).
About 4 months from kickoff to soft launch, with 6 agents at once.
AI needs supervision. Agents’ “it works” reports were sometimes wrong in a real browser, so anything touching money or sign-in is checked by hand. Database changes are verified against production. A “Not Yet Built” list keeps the shipped scope honest.
A custom Next.js + Express + Supabase platform replaced the Bubble prototype and reached a soft launch on 22 Jun 2026.
